Shopping and Bananas!

Okay, so I'm finally getting around to updating. So much for keeping up with my new years resolution to update more often!

So this past week there was a bit of a..um..restructuring in our household. I had a serious breakdown earlier in the week about not spending enough time with Sophia and feeling like the only time I have at home I spend cleaning/cooking/preparing for the next day. There's no play time, no time for me to do something I'd like to do (hence the blog just now getting updated). So after an adult discussion (haha, yeah right), I decided to make a list of everything I do and start figuring out what I need to keep doing, what I can pass along to someone else and what I'd like to start doing. So for starters, I'm getting a cleaning lady. As you can probably imagine...that didn't exactly go over well with Alex. But it was pretty much "let me get a cleaning lady or I'm quitting my job" sort of moment. So I won that battle. I will soon have a cleaning lady coming once a month to mop my floors, vacuum, dust all of our crap and do a thorough cleaning of my bathrooms and kitchen! I figure I can do a not so thorough job throughout the rest of the month...and hopefully this helps eliminate my all weekend cleaning fests.

I also decided I need to do something for me at least once a month. So, this months activity was a shopping day with the girls...okay, so Alex and Sophia came along, but I didn't hear Alex complain once! Amazing! We ended up heading over to Edinburgh to the Outlets. It was sooo much fun! And I "Saved so much money!" hahaha.

We stopped at tons of stores, but here's the rundown of my fabulous purchases!

Carters:

We stopped here because I know I'm hosting at least one baby shower in the near future, and I have several that I'll be going to. I picked up several items for my cousin's baby. They're not finding out what they're having..SO I decided to go with a duck theme. I think I'll probaby carry the theme over to the invites for the shower. I can't wait to start those!

I went to purchase all of the shower items and realized that I had a coupon where if you bought 50 dollars of product you got 10$ back. I figured I had at least 50$ of product there...but apparently I didn't. So, off I ran to pick up a few items for Sophia!

Once I got home I totaled up how much I would have spent on all of this stuff. It would have been 104$ before tax! With the coupon and tax I ended up spending 50$ and change! Awesome! I'm definitely heading back there for the other baby purchases I'll have to make in the upcoming months!

Gymboree:
I usually don't shop at Gymboree...because OMG! their prices are outrageous! But they're soo cute! It makes me wish I could work in order to only dress my kid in their clothes. But unfortunately I can't. So she'll stay in her Carter's stuff for now..and I'll pick things like this up at the outlet store for a sweet price! These pants are usually 20+ and I got them for 4$. I also got a shirt that was similarly priced!

Nine West:

Okay, so I had to get something for me, right? I don't have a picture, but I got a pair of super cute boots for 20$.

And now, my favorite stop....

Coach:

The Coach outlet is kind of like Christmas. It's exciting and it smells good and there's lots of pretty things. Only you find out you're poor and haven't been the best kid all year, so Santa's not coming. This year...I've been a good girl. I ended up with an extra special bag in my hand. I ran straight home and ripped through the paper like Charlie. But I didn't find a golden ticket. Instead, I found this:

Sophia would like you to know that she took the pictures this morning. She's becoming quite the photographer!

Oh, and she loves oatmeal and bananas! But we'll have to talk about her eating habits next time!

If she could coordinate giving two thumbs up, it would definitely be in this picture!!
